Belarusian Investor-seeking Services May Be in Demand in EU

Financing and investor-seeking services Belarusian consulting companies are starting to offer may be in demand in the European Union, said John Grayston, member of the Law Society of England and Wales, at a seminar held in Minsk on June 18 to discuss economic cooperation between Belarus and the European Union.

In his words, the demand for Belarusian products in Europe is determined by their competitive ability. “If a product is competitive in Belarus, it can be competitive and marketable in the European Union,” he said. The Belarusian light industry, textiles in particular, has good prospects on the European market, the expert believes.

John Grayston remarked, European Union representatives show certain interest in attracting foreign investments in Belarus. In turn, Belarusian companies demonstrate their desire to extend the presence of their products in the European Union market.

On June 17-18 Minsk hosts seminars dedicated to discussing Belarus’ cooperation with the European Union. They are organised by the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry with assistance of the Foreign Ministry and the Belarus-EU Business Cooperation Council.
